Indonesia Reducing Maternal Mortality (IRMA)

IRMA is a consortium of obstetrics-gynecology researchers from tertiary hospitals, aiming to reduce the maternal mortality and morbidity problem in Indonesia. IRMA was established in 2017 with four centers and officially became part of CoLab in November 2017. IRMA researchers are affiliated with top universities in Indonesia: Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Hasannudin and Universitas Sebelas Maret. The group mission is to perform multicenter studies in Indonesia, producing national data to contribute to reducing maternal mortality numbers and to collaborate with any research group who shares the same vision.

The Ibero-American Network

The Ibero-American Network is a consortium comprised of 55 researchers from nine countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecudaor, Spain and Mexico. Research interests include preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, obesity, infertility, recurrent abortion and embryonic death. The macro-mechanisms involved are endothelial dysfunction, oxidative stress, angiogenesis, placental alterations, fetal programming, metabolic defects, inflammation, antiphospholipid syndrome, genetics, epigenetics, biomarkers, systemic inflammatory response in pregnancy, glycobiology, maternal-fetal interface and the placental transport of drugs and nutrients.
